SUMMARY:8th Annual Valentine Making and Music
DESCRIPTION:The Artists' League of the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club will host its 8th Annual Valentine Making and Music Event on Saturday\, February 11th\, 2017\, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Funds raised from the event will benefit the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation\, which provides funding for special programs in local public schools\; with matching funds donated by the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club to School on Wheels\, dedicated to tutoring homeless children.\n\nThis event provides the perfect opportunity for all ages to be creative together\, making Valentine cards and crafts for school mates\, friends and family. Participants in the event will be provided with a  smorgasbord of supplies\, including paper shapes\, hearts\, flowers\, stickers\, stamps\, ribbons and envelopes to make the most beautiful Valentine cards and crafts. Members of SMBWC Artists' League will instruct participants in a variety of Valentine crafts. \n\nMusicians will add to the creative ambiance and snacks will be provided to keep up the energy level.\n\n\n\nDonations to the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation change the lives of students in the Santa Monica-Malibu public schools. Contributions fund excellent programs   from art to STEM to wellness   that shape our future problem solvers\, visionaries and global citizens.\n\nEstablished in 1982 by a dedicated group of parents\, community leaders\, and local business owners\, the Education Foundation raises funds to enhance and supplement the curriculum of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. Our mission is to engage the community to invest in a vibrant educational experience for all students in the Santa Monica and Malibu public schools.
