SUMMARY:Cradle of Civilization Tasting with Blue Danube Wines
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special tasting with some of the most interesting wines from the "Cradle of Civilization"\, in wine terms\, currently Eastern Europe & the Middle East. Stetson from Blue Danube Wine Company (who is responsible for importing these wines) will be here pouring a selection of his favorites on Wednesday\, December 8 from 7-9pm.\n\n\n\nThe History of Wine spans thousands of years and is closely intertwined with the history of agriculture\, cuisine\, civilization and humanity Itself. Archaeological evidence suggests that the earliest wine production came from sites in Georgia and Iran\, dating from 6000 to 5000 BC. The archaeological evidence becomes clearer and points to domestication of grapevine in the Early Bronze Age.\n\n\n\nWe've been researching this region to uncover wines not generally available that are old-world\, and traditional in style\, affordable and "absolutely delicious."
