DESCRIPTION:Each year\, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life movement. Relay For Life is a community organized\, family-friendly fundraising walk where teams of people camp out around a track to celebrate cancer survivors\, honor loved ones lost and together fight back against cancer! Food\, games and activities throughout the event provide entertainment and build camaraderie. Money raised from the event funds cancer research and our patient program services which are provided FREE OF CHARGE to any cancer patient that calls our 800# (800.227.2345). \n\n\n\nThe Relay For Life of Santa Monica and Venice is scheduled for Saturday\, May 2nd - Sunday\, May 3rd\, 2015 at Santa Monica College' Corsair Track. The event kicks off at 10am Saturday morning with a lap that honors survivors and caregivers and we remember those that have passed at 9pm with a Luminaria ceremony.
