City of Santa Monica's 2017 Homeless Count
The nation-wide Point-in-Time Homeless Count and Survey occurs annually, the last week of January. The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is the largest in the United States. The Count collects information on the number of individuals and families who are living in shelters or on the streets. The Westside, including Santa Monica, conducts the Homeless Count on the evening of Wednesday, January 25, 2017. For the Santa Monica Count, teams are assigned an area of the City and will either walk or drive every street, alley and park in their assigned area.
