The annual Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce Installation Dinner, held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel, is the chamber's top fundraising event. This event installs not only the Chamber of Commerce chairman of the board, but also its new board of directors. With top business and political leaders of not only Santa Monica but California in attendance, it is definitely a night of high importance and high praise.
The event honors businesses who are leaders in their respective industries and also gives sponsors a chance to honor employees who have gone above and beyond in their respective duties. Awards such as the Roy Naylor Lifetime Acheivement Award and the Bob Gabriel Community Service Award are handed out to deserving members of our business community. The outgoing chairman of the board also gives out Chairman of the Board Awards to selected members for their outstanding service throughout the year.
"We are excited to kick off the year under Tom Neary's leadership, along with that of a very strong and active Board of Directors," said Chamber President/CEO Laurel Rosen. "Each of our voulenteer board members has been active in the community for many years and we look forward to the energy and commitment they will bring to the Chamber."
