Orchestra Santa Monica Plays “Nabors, Beethoven, and Schumann”

Under the baton of Music Director Roger Kalia, Orchestra Santa Monica opens its 11^th season with a performance of new music and classic masterpieces. The program begins with the exuberant fanfare lubilo by contemporary composer Brian Nabors. Internationally acclaimed pianist Vijay Venkatesh will join the orchestra to perform Beethoven's 5^th Piano Concerto ("Emperor"). Schumann's majestic 3^rd Symphony ("Rhenish"), inspired by his love of the Rhineland, concludes the program.
