Santa Monica Symphony's 70th Season Premiere Concert
The Santa Monica Symphony proudly presents its landmark 70th season of FREE quality classical music concerts. The season premiere concert opens with Weber’s Overture to Oberon, the very first piece played by the Santa Monica Symphony at its opening concert in October of 1945. Acclaimed LA Phil principal cellist Robert deMaine is the featured soloist for the evening, playing concertos of both Hayden and Saint-Saens. The evening concludes with Respighi’s monumental Pines of Rome.
