Soundbath + Handbuilding Workshop
In the midst of an increasingly hyper-stimulating, technological, and social world, let's take the time to sit quietly in a space with the intention of being fully present. Let's quiet our minds and engage with our natural environment in order to truly embrace the power of now despite difficult circumstances.
If you’re not familiar with sound baths, it is a meditative experience where you are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are created in various ways, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and chants. This practice of healing bodies through sound is thousands of years old with deep roots in cultures across the world. Sound baths can be an excellent means of self-care. They work to release stress and boost mood. And they provide a great opportunity to connect with your intuition and get in touch with distant parts of yourself.
Soundbath + Handbuilding Workshop: Join us for this unique blend of a relaxing sound bath session coupled with the therapeutic art of hand-building pottery. This session will incorporate the natural elements of earth (clay), fire (firing of the pieces), air (sound bath), and water (to form the clay). We’ll be entering a state of energetic, mental, creative flow. During the class, take the time to feel inspired, creative, and open to ideas. You are free to create freeform pieces, it may start as a pinch pot but end up as a sculpture! This session is open to everyone who wants to feel more peaceful, relaxed, and connected with themselves. We’ll start and close the workshop with a mini meditation. Pieces will be fired and glazed by the studio. All materials are provided during the workshop.
